• I served for 28 years in the Marines and deployed to Iraq three times...it was my war. Since those deployments, I have always wondered why we invaded after 9/11 and what was the basis for the decision...I now know and am saddened...and the US is still heavily involved in Iraq, so many years later. Dr. Mazarr's work is thoroughly researched, yet very easily read and followed. I read the entire book in two sittings, it is that good. What I found the most striking is Dr. Mazarr offers considerations for policy/decision makers so we don't make the same mistake again. Unfortunately, I fear his sage advice will not be followed. Thank you Dr. Mazarr, fantastic work.
